Happy Sunday all - here is a little self care practice. Time to disconnect.
Sunday Sanctuary Journaling (20-30 minutes)
Step 1: Find your spot (5 mins)
- Choose somewhere peaceful - your garden, a park, even by a window with plants
- Bring your journal, a pen, and a drink ☕
Step 2: Settle & Breathe (5 mins)
- Sit quietly and just notice what's around you
- Take 5 deep breaths, letting your body relax with each one
- Set the intention: "This is my time for peace and reflection"
Step 3: Mindful Observation (10 mins)
- Pick one thing in nature that draws your attention.
- Write about what you see, hear, smell, feel
- Let your thoughts flow onto the page - no editing, just releasing.
Step 4: Gratitude & Release (10 mins)
- Write 3 things you are grateful for from the past week
- If anything's weighing on you, finish it off with "I set myself free" while writing it down
- End with one intention for the week ahead
Have no expectations. It's just a gentle, restorative practice and sets you up beautifully for the week ahead.
