October Check in

October Check in....

There’s something I say quite often in my coaching. You don’t have to be struggling to need support. Sometimes you’re actually doing okay.
You’re studying. Working. Looking after everyone. Meeting deadlines. Getting through the weeks.
But underneath all of that, you know things could feel a little more under control.
For my law students, that can mean looking at how you’re actually studying, not just how many hours you’re putting in.
We work on study methods, planning, revision strategy, accountability, confidence and understanding how you learn, and sometimes we have to look beyond the books too, because anxiety, mindset, life pressures and everything else going on around you inevitably affects how you study.
For my life coaching clients, the subject might be completely different, but interestingly the process often isn’t.
Where are you now? Where do you want to be? What keeps getting in the way? And what are we actually going to do about it?
Sometimes you need a strategy. Sometimes you need accountability.
And sometimes you simply need a conversation with somebody who will help you untangle everything that’s going around in your head.
A little October exercise
Take five minutes this week and ask yourself:
What is taking up the most space in my head at the moment?
Then ask:
Is there actually something I can do about it?
If there is, make the next step ridiculously small.
One email. Twenty-five minutes of study. One conversation. One decision.
You don’t have to solve the whole thing this week.
Just move it forward.
What’s happening in October for my clients (for any area of study/qualification) 🍂
Our Pomodoro study sessions are running:
Saturday 17th October – 10.30am Saturday 24th October – 10.30am Saturday 31st October – 10.30am
These aren’t about forcing yourself to sit at a desk for hours. We work in focused blocks and finish with a short nervous-system reset - learning when to focus and when to pause is part of studying well too.
And then there’s Flourish & Inspire — the community that sits around my 1:1 coaching. Pomodoros, monthly catch-ups, meditation, accountability and a network of people working on very different goals but all wanting to move their lives forward.
That’s probably the best way I can describe what I do.
Yes, I coach law students 1:1 with bespoke learning plans and 24/7 coaching.
Yes, I provide life coaching to get underneath limiting beliefs.
But ultimately, I help people take everything they want to do, need to do and keep saying they’re going to do - and start making it happen!
And if you’ve been quietly reading my emails for a while thinking, I could probably do with some of this, you’re always welcome to reply and have a conversation with me.

A little something to look forward to… 🌿
My retreats are returning in 2027, with Norfolk in May and then France in July.
Time to step away from the noise, reset, reconnect and actually make some space for you. These retreats are always about so much more than simply getting away and I cannot wait to share what I have planned.
If either is calling you, get in touch and I’ll send you the details. 🤍 (France is now fully booked - to get added to the next retreat waiting list pls contact me. 2 spaces left for Norfolk in May 2027)
Let's Start a Conversation
I prefer the personal touch. If any part of this update resonates with you, or if you simply wish to explore how we might work together, please reply directly. I look forward to hearing your story.
