My Happy Place List

When life feels overwhelming, I come back to the little things that warm my soul. These aren’t luxuries—they are tiny moments of comfort, laughter, or connection that remind me what truly matters. I encourage my clients to find their own “happy place” moments, too. It’s a powerful reset for the heart and mind.

Some of my current favourites that I thought I would share with you:
Early morning walks when the world is still quiet
A coffee shop treat and a good book (even better with a friend!)
Giggling with my kids over something silly
The peace that comes after a short meditation
Watching a student have a breakthrough “aha!” moment
Jotting down dreams and ideas in my favourite journal
Cheering on a client’s first big win—no matter how small it seems
Film night
Receiving a text from a student saying, “I did it!”
Slow Sunday mornings with family.
Putting on a playlist and dancing in the kitchen
A candle that brings a feeling of peace
A sound bath to bring me back to me.
Baking (my new favourite is banana loaf with chooclate chips!)
These simple “happy place” moments create real joy—no expensive fixes, just everyday goodness. I keep this list handy for days when motivation dips or doubts creep in. If you’ve never made your own, try it: Write down your little joys, and see how it shifts your energy.
What’s on your Happy Place List? I’d love to know—let’s inspire each other.
